Nutritious healthy meals and snacks are essential for young children’s optimal growth and development. The energy provided by healthy foods ensures that children will be ready to fully participate in the day’s learning opportunities. During our meals and snacks, our children are learning to make healthy choices, discover a wide variety of different foods and develop healthy eating patterns.
Ensuring that each child’s daily nutritional needs are met requires that food servings during every meal and snack adhere to all components of the USDA Meal Guidelines for Children Ages 1-12. Milk is a component of every meal with a few exceptions during snack. We need a physician’s note if a family requests that no milk or a milk-based substitute be given to their child.
We are very diligent that proper hand washing technique is being maintained to provide for a healthy, safe environment for food preparation and eating areas.
Children’s breakfast, lunch and snack.
- Breakfast – 7:45-8:45am
- Lunch – 10:45-11:45am
- Snack – 3:15-4:15pm
The menu can only be served during the timeframe allotted. This is a state regulation. If you come in at 8:46am, we will not be able to serve your child a breakfast. Please make sure to get all children in by 8:45 to ensure that they will get a meal.
Breakfast and lunch will be served in the cafeteria. The snack will be outdoors or in your child’s classroom.
The menu will be posted weekly. If your child has food allergies or religious exemption, we will need documentation from either a doctor or a religious facility to be able to accommodate your needs.
